Frequently Asked Questions

How much room do I need for VR?

A space of at least 2m × 2m is ideal, but smaller spaces can work too. Make sure the area is clear of obstacles.

Can I use Meta Quest while sitting down?

Yes. Choose Stationary mode and set a smaller boundary.

Why does my boundary keep moving?

Tracking can be affected by lighting, reflective surfaces or lack of visual features. Try improving the lighting and keeping the area consistent.

Can mirrors affect Meta Quest tracking?

Yes. Large mirrors can confuse tracking. Cover or remove them from your play area.

How do I stop the headset feeling uncomfortable?

Adjust the head strap and lens spacing first, and take regular breaks. If the original strap still feels uncomfortable, upgrading to a more supportive head strap can improve the fit, spread the weight more evenly and make longer VR sessions much more comfortable.

Does a VR mat replace the Meta Quest boundary?

No. A VR mat is a physical guide to help you stay centred, but you still need to use the Meta Quest boundary for safety.
