Blade & Sorcery: Nomad Update Problems? Try This First

If Blade & Sorcery: Nomad has stopped working properly after an update, gets stuck on Loading Mods, crashes after installing mods, or the Mod Manager is not behaving correctly, there are a few things worth trying before completely reinstalling everything.
This guide is specifically for Blade & Sorcery: Nomad on Meta Quest. The first thing I recommend is making sure Nomad is fully updated, then removing every mod and testing the game completely clean.
From there, you can work through the fixes in order: reinstall only current Nomad-compatible mods, create a fresh character or remove old modded save data if necessary, and only move on to a full reinstall if the problem is still there.
1. Make Sure Blade & Sorcery: Nomad Is Fully Updated
The first thing to check is that Blade & Sorcery: Nomad is running the newest version available on your Meta Quest headset. When I made this guide, the Khar-Tib update was on version 1.3.1, followed by the 1.3.1.2 hotfix.
That hotfix addressed major problems introduced around the update, so before changing anything else, make sure Nomad has completely finished updating and then launch the game again without touching your mods.
2. Unsubscribe From Every Mod
Mods are one of the most common causes of problems after a major Blade & Sorcery: Nomad update. Even a mod that worked perfectly before the update may no longer be compatible with the newest version of the game.
Unsubscribe from every mod you currently have installed, including anything subscribed through Mod.io, then launch Nomad completely clean. If the game works normally without mods, you have immediately narrowed the problem down to an incompatible or outdated mod.
3. Delete the Mods and Saves Folders
If removing the mods does not fix the problem, the next step is to clear out the old mod and save data that may still be causing conflicts after the update.
Delete the Mods and Saves folders for Blade & Sorcery: Nomad, then reinstall or relaunch the game so it can create fresh versions of those folders. This removes leftover files that can continue causing crashes or loading problems even after you have unsubscribed from the mods themselves.
4. Reinstall Only Current Nomad-Compatible Mods
Once Blade & Sorcery: Nomad is working properly again without mods, start adding them back slowly rather than reinstalling everything at once.
Only use mods that clearly state they are compatible with the current Nomad version. Add a small number at a time and test the game after each batch. That makes it much easier to identify which mod is causing the problem if the crashes or loading issues return.
5. Still Stuck on “Loading Mods”? Contact Warpfrog Support
If Blade & Sorcery: Nomad is still stuck on Loading Mods after updating the game, removing every mod, clearing the Mods and Saves folders and testing with a clean install, the problem may need to be looked at by Warpfrog directly.
At that point, contact Warpfrog Support and explain exactly what is happening, including your headset model, Nomad version and the steps you have already tried. That gives them the best chance of identifying whether the problem is account-related, update-related or something specific to your installation.
Blade & Sorcery: Nomad Update Problems – Quick Checklist
• Make sure Nomad is fully updated
• Unsubscribe from every mod
• Test the game completely without mods
• Delete the Mods and Saves folders if problems continue
• Reinstall only mods confirmed to work with the current Nomad version
• Add mods back gradually so you can identify any problem mod
• Contact Warpfrog Support if the game is still stuck on Loading Mods
Final Advice for Blade & Sorcery: Nomad Update Problems
The most important thing is to test Blade & Sorcery: Nomad completely clean before assuming the update itself is broken. Make sure the game is fully updated, remove every mod, clear the old mod and save data if necessary, and only start adding mods back once Nomad is working normally again.
If the problem continues even with a completely clean installation, contact Warpfrog Support rather than repeatedly reinstalling mods or changing files.
